WANTEDLY’S GRAND DEBUT IN SINGAPORE

Wantedly, one of the largest social recruiting platform in Japan, is launching a series of talent recruitment services in Singapore at Red Dot Museum on 2 March 2017. It is a social networking platform which allows users to discover companies which share their passion and vision.

Wantedly Japan was founded in September 1, 2010 by Akiko Naka. Currently, the social recruiting platform has over 20,000 registered companies and more than 1.2 million active monthly visitors.

Wantedly is kickstarting its foray into South-East Asia with Singapore as its first pit stop. With the economy at a turning point, Wantedly aims to address the concerns of an ageing population and to provide labour opportunities for the masses.

Akiko Naka, Chief Executive Officer of Wantedly, elaborates, “Whereas job boards traditionally draw talents by marketing its salary and benefits, Wantedly takes a different approach towards recruitment. Our online postings focus on a company’s corporate culture and team vision in order to draw like-minded individuals.”

As Singapore heads towards its Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) 2020 plans to support innovation-led growth for homegrown enterprises, Wantedly Singapore shares the vision to provide 1-to-1 employer branding especially for local startups to find talents around the region.

Weiting Tan, Country Manager of Wantedly Singapore, shares, “Wantedly’s main service platform, Wantedly Visit has redesigned its interface to make searching and posting jobs easier than ever. Companies can create individual user accounts and post a job instantaneously.

Individuals can profile themselves better online and search for a company culture that fits their lifestyle.”

In the coming months, Wantedly Singapore aims to enhance lifelong learning through the provision of more online content to help individuals profile themselves better online and improve their communication skills.

Weiting explains, “Our goal is to use social networks to cultivate a future generation of informed, skilled, and passionate young people. Essentially, Wantedly is here to help companies and individuals to position themselves effectively in the marketplace and connect them via social media. We want to help everyone Uncover Possibilities in their careers here in Singapore.”
