Mobile games platform ALAX raises US$3.8 million for its plan to drive mobile gaming development in the region.
The fund was raised from its token-based fundraise, and it will help to drive product development, international expansion and recruitment.
ALAX also signed
strategic partnerships with Torque Mobile and UTOO. The partnerships will be the stepping stone for ALAX to deepen its consumer network in Asia. Currently, the platform connects global game developers with more than 100 million mobile gamers worldwide.s
Mobile Gaming Boom in Asia
Since its launch in Q12018, ALAX has seen a sharp rise in mobile phone, consumer electronic and retail partners. This includes priority markets such as China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
In March, ALAX announced its partnership with China and India based Gionee, among the world’s top smartphone manufacturers.
Gionee has shipped over 40 million smartphones worldwide in 2016, and is growing from strength to strength. The company’s phones are now one of the most popular brands in India, adding to its presence in over 50 global markets.
