In conjunction with the upcoming 13th General Election, community airline Firefly is adding 12 flight frequencies on 4-5 May. According to a statement the airline issued, these additional flights will focus on customers departing from Subang, Kota Baharu and Penang. Chief Executive Officer of Firefly, Ignatius Ong said that upon the announcement of the general election, Firefly’s flights immediately filled up. “We have expected flights especially to Kota Baharu to be popular as Firefly provides a fast and convenient way to go home and return,” Ignatius said. He also added that with the recent promotional campaign that commenced on 15 April, Firefly provided flights from as low as RM76 all-in one-way for domestic destinations. Ignatius said the 15-28 April promotional campaign also includes other destinations that Firefly currently flies to.
